Primer based on water to obtain a binding and firming effect on incoherent and dusting substrata when followed by the use of water based adhesives.
Main purposes:
To consolidate dusting and incoherent concrete or gypsum absorbent substrata before using water based adhesives to install wood, resilient, linoleum, cork and textile floorings. To increase cement levellers’ adhesiveness on smooth substrata. PRIMER AC is NOT suitable to be used on anhydrite substrata and with two-components adhesives.
Technical data:
Description: sky-blue, milky liquid
Application temperature: above 10°C (50°F)
Efficiency: from 100 to 300 g/m²
Waiting time: minimum 3-4 hours at 23°C (73.4°F)
Setting Instruction:
The substrata must be clean, dry and free from separating substances. If used to consolidate substrata, PRIMER AC can be used either neat or thinned with water in a ratio of 1:1 or 1:2, depending on the surface’s condition. If used as a binder for cement levellers on smooth or little absorbent substrata (possibly roughened), it has to be thinned in a ratio of 1:1 or 1:3 depending on the surface’s porosity. In both cases the product thinning has to be such as to avoid it forming a film. It can be applied with a roller or a scrubbing brush.
Surface preparation:
Substrata must be dry, clean and, as far as possible, dusted.
Care and shelf life:
It must be kept both from frost and hot temperature. It can be stored for 12 months if: in the original container, at a temperature above 5°C (41°F) and far from heat sources.
Packaging:
10 litres cans
