A two-components epoxy-poliyurethanic adhesive, for wood floor covering, very little irritating. Available in both dark and light version.
Main purposes:
Recommended for the installation of any type of wood floor covering on: cement, anhydrite, marble tile, tiled floors, stone materials, wood panels and metal sheets foundations.
Technical data:
Description: A component: a white dense paste, B component: thixotropic beige or brown liquid
Application temperature: from +10°C to +30°C (50°F to 86°F)
Waiting time before polishing: 3 days at +15° C (59° F), 2 days at +25° C (77° F)
Ready for traffic: 24 h. at +15° C (59° F), 12 h. at +25° C (77° F)
Mixture utilization time: A+B (9 Kg. + 1 Kg.):
2 h. at +15° C (59° F)
1 h. at +25° C (77° F)
Also suitable for heated systems floors.
Setting Instruction:
Wear rubber gloves and avoid skin contact during mixing, application and cleaning. Pour all the content of component B into the component A container and mix thoroughly to achieve a smooth homogeneous paste consistency (pale colour = oak /dark colour = walnut). Note that the two components (A and B) are packaged to the exact ratio. It is very important to mix one bin of component A and one bin of component B at time. Apply the adhesive only on the rough floor using a n. 5 trowel for any kind of parquet. Depending on the foundation surface, the needed quantity will be approximately from 800 to 1200 gr./m². Lay the flooring while the adhesive is wet, exerting a good pressure in order to ensure the back of the wood to get thoroughly dump.
Do not lay the parquet against the walls: it is very important lo leave at least 1 cm. free along the perimeter of the floor and around columns or protruding wall sections. Do not cover any expansion joint with adhesive.
Surface preparation:
When laying wooden floorings it is very important to prepare the rough floor with extreme accuracy particularly for what humidity and physical state are concerned.
1) Humidity: in the whole thickness of the rough floor it must not exceed 2% for concrete or stone material foundations and 0.5% for anhydrite foundations. Arrange in the foundations a steam stop to avoid humidity re-ascending from subsoil by priming. Check that the cement mix is free from hygroscopic inert substances, such as pumice, clay, vermiculite, which might retain water in the mixture and slowly let it out later on. Use our PRIMER PU only to stop modest quantities of residual humidity in absorbent foundations. When dealing with non-absorbent foundations the usage of our PRIMER EP42 (two-component) is suggested.
2) Physical state:
a) Both new and old concrete rough floors must be clean, of compact texture and well levelled. PRIMER PU, besides being used against humidity, can also been useful to consolidate loose dusting foundations. After our PRIMER AC has been applied, any unevenness should be removed using our HEKOPLANER AR SPECIAL, which has a high grade of mechanical resistance. Please remember that if the leveller are not perfectly fixed, unwanted disjunction may occur (see the note about 88F the leveller use).
b) Anhydrite foundations must be roughened with sandpaper (grain 16), thoroughly dusted, and spread with PRIMER PU diluted with DILUENTE PU. It is important to avoid it forming a film.
c) Marble tile, varnished tile floors, stone materials foundations should be slightly roughened. If this should not be possible they must be cleaned with a caustic soda solution (in a 10% ratio), thoroughly rinsed and, when dry, spread with our PRIMER PRA.
d) Bisque foundation (not varnished tile floors) must be previously consolidated with PRIMER PU diluted in a ratio of a 1 to 1 with the right thinner.
Cleaning:
Parquet, tools and clothes can be cleaned with alcohol while the adhesive is still fresh. Once hardened it can only been mechanically removed.
Care and shelf life:
12 months if stored in the original container and far from heat sources.
Packaging:
4.5 Kg. + 0.5 Kg. bins
9 Kg. + 1 Kg. bins
